EYES ON THE PRIZE
In 2023 Bucharest’s Contra Bridge Club joined forces with the Romanian Bridge Federation to launch the Contra Cup, which has now celebrated its fourth edition. It attracts stars from across Europe and this year you could rub shoulders with the likes of Zia, Andrea Manno, Alfredo Versace, Oren Toledano and Ami Zamir.
This year, team Zip, the Serbian and Croation alliance of Goran Radisic, Dimitraki Zipovski, Ion Popa, Kiril Marinovsky & Vedran Zoric defeated the powerful Polish team SPS Construction (Grzegorz Glasek, Grzegorz Narkiewicz, Krzysztof Buras, Michal Nowosadzki & Piotr Marcinowski) to lift the Cup along with the €10,000 prize.
