When East opens 2 indicating a weak hand with a five or six card major, my partner doubles, suggesting either a balanced hand with 13-15 or various stronger hands. West redoubles, which upon enquiry is explained as asking for East’s suit. I pass, indicating a willingness to defend, but not necessarily having a big Diamond stack. When East bids 2 my partner bids 3 clearly asking for a Heart stopper. I happily bid 3NT which leaves us with this auction:
