Sally: Board 8 was an interesting slam deal. Some bid it, some didn’t; some made it, some went down. It is usually not quite so important to bid slams at matchpoints. Often making twelve tricks is enough to get you a decent board. Of course, at teams, if they bid it so must you. How did you do on the deal?
