This Sunday, two of my Girls finish the yearly pairs competition in their department. Marjorie and Carla narrowly missed qualification for the national final. I come behind them at the very end of the session.

Marjorie jumps to 6♠ opposite the 3♠ overcall by her partner, who is vulnerable against not. This final action resulted in a slam that went down and a score of 32%. Carla received a Diamond lead. She won with the Ace and immediately played a Spade. Unfortunately, East won with the Ace and played a Diamond back, ruffed by West who had started with a singleton.
