Isabelle’s last training before the world championships
This Sunday, Isabelle plays a training match on BBO against the Polish ladies before leaving to play in the world championships. The latter are the big favourites of the event and allow us to gauge our team before the start.
The match goes perfectly as we lead by 1 IMP before the last deal in which Isabelle as South and Garance as North bid a slam where they have the Ace and King of Spades to lose. Isabelle, very upset, plays three rounds of Clubs and discovers that they don’t break 3-3. She claims for one off, reproaching her partner for the 4NT bid.
