  1. Why wouldn’t N play 2 diamonds to force his partner to accept the transfer (2 hearts) and then show strength with 2 NT? or is stayman preferable with the hand you describe above? If so, why?

      Our French system works like this because, here, the transfer followed by 2NT over 2Hearts would be game forcing and covers several types of hand…
